A betrayed wolf queen uncovers her rescuer as a king and topples a corrupt dynasty.
When the White Oak Pack falls, Julian severs his mate bond with Sera to shield his pregnant mistress Vanessa and surrenders Sera to Ronan, the Blackridge Wolf King, as a peace offering. At Frostfang Fortress, Sera recognizes Ronan as Nain, the boy she rescued from a fighting pit seven years earlier, and he kneels before her army of tens of thousands. Backed by his northern riders, she investigates intercepted correspondence, drugging, falsified bloodline records, and her father's death, tracing the conspiracy to Richard, the White Oak Wolf King. Using Hawthorne trade routes and military ledgers, she cuts off court supplies and exposes payroll corruption, triggering mass defections. With Council of Twelve Clans authorization, she storms the capital with the city guard, forcing a public trial for Richard and Julian, and is chosen Supreme Wolf Queen. She then dissolves the blood pact binding Ronan and forms an equal mate bond with him.
