A scorned ex-husband taunts his former lover, ignorant of her dangerous new husband.
Adrian Vance humiliated Elena six years ago, dismissing her as unfit for his elite circle before immediately debuting a childhood friend as his partner. When fate reunites them at an amusement park, Adrian finds Elena sharing discounted hot dogs with a little girl. He instinctively ridicules her modest circumstances, convinced she remains trapped in his shadow. The ring on her finger escapes his notice, as does the identity of her husband: a don whose influence renders Adrian's arrogance a potentially fatal liability. Every sneer he directs at her past now threatens consequences far beyond wounded pride.
