About Series Drama Play
Series Drama Play is a reading room for vertical short dramas: serial stories cut into episodes of a minute or two and made to be watched on a phone held upright. Each series is kept here as a record. A record gives the series a shelf mark, notes the day its platform issued it, sums the story up in an abstract, sets it out at more length in an outline, and lists three elements (where it takes place, the bond at its centre, the conflict it turns on) together with a line on the viewers it suits.
What the catalogue is, and what it is not
The catalogue is compiled independently. None of the series listed here was produced by us, we own no rights in any of them, and we are neither the app nor the platform that distributes them. Titles, cover artwork and episodes belong to their studios and publishers; we describe them so that a reader can decide what is worth watching.
Where the episodes play from
Pressing View on a record asks our server where that numbered episode is kept. The footage then travels to your browser straight from machines run by the studio that owns it, or by the platform licensed to distribute it. We do not upload, store or re-encode any of the video.
Retrieving the full series
Only the opening numbers of a series can be viewed on its record. The retrieve button leads to a short slip showing the series code beside a link onward to the app or website that publishes it. A number of those onward addresses carry an affiliate tag: should you install, subscribe or buy something on the far side, a commission may come back to us, at no extra cost to you. Opening a slip copies nothing; the code lands on the clipboard solely because you tapped the slip's button yourself.
How the drawers are arranged
Records are filed first by language, newest issue first, fifty to a page, with a page register for jumping ten pages at a time. Subjects gather records that share a premise, such as a hidden identity or a contract marriage. The most requested shelf follows the rankings the platforms themselves publish. Every sheet is relayed to readers by Cloudflare, whose data centres hold copies near you so the drawers open without delay.
