Lyla pursues her missing mother's investigation into the ancient families behind the Vito purge.
Lyla discovers her vanished mother Mara had been building a case against the ancient families who orchestrated the Vito purge. Those same families now attack simultaneously across banking, the royal court, criminal syndicates, and the wolf border to silence every witness. Using Mara's scattered court motions, sworn depositions, and a missing ledger that names the architect, Lyla works with allies to trace the evidence and identify who gave the fatal order.
