A mother sacrifices an organ, vanishes to protect her lover, and years later her daughter battles a saboteur to save her comatose life.
Seven years earlier Mable Graham gave a kidney to her boyfriend and disappeared, convinced her worsening condition would only weigh him down; he rewrote her departure as greed. She raised their daughter Cora Flint in obscurity, bearing the physical cost alone. After a sudden accident plunges Mable into a coma, Cora scrambles to gather funds for treatment, yet Heidi Lane appears and deliberately obstructs every route Cora pursues, turning a medical crisis into a targeted campaign.
