A jailed killer directs a branded disciple while hidden masters pull the strings.
Nora believed the nightmare ended when Julian went to prison, but fresh bodies surface bearing his signature drowning technique. The perpetrator is a woman marked with a seven-ring tattoo who carries out orders smuggled from his cell in coded messages. As Nora and Ethan trace the communication chain, the investigation climbs past the inmate to his own psychiatrist, who has been orchestrating the violence, and finally to an ancient figure named Corvus, the true architect directing every move from the darkness.
