A stand-in date sparks romance between Leah and CEO Aiden, until a friend's return exposes his engagement and secrets.
Leah Bennett agrees to meet a wealthy stranger as a favor to her friend Mia, who has been using Leah's photos to chat with the man and collect money. At the cafe, Leah discovers the man is Aiden Black, the young CEO of Black Group. They fall for each other and share three weeks of intimate closeness. When Mia returns, she reveals Aiden's impending engagement to a New York heiress and that the real online suitor is another man, Noah. Leah pulls back, moves to the guest room, and plans to leave. Aiden fakes illness to summon her to his office, where she learns the engagement proceeds and that he had her watched. Their confrontation erupts into accusations, possessiveness, and Aiden's attempt to bind her through pregnancy.
