Freya learns her mate and parents have chosen her twin sister Daisy for the Luna role and leaves the pack.
Freya’s bonding ceremony with Alpha Killian begins when bells ring, but Killian is absent. A family chat video shows him kneeling in the hall beside them, placing the Celestine Ring on Daisy’s finger as their father watches proudly. Daisy leans on Killian’s shoulder while he pats her back. Freya’s mother sends a mind-link ordering Freya to yield her mate and Luna title because Daisy’s wolfsbane poisoning leaves her frail. Their parents confess they concealed the switch to prevent Freya from causing a scene. Freya understands they can discard her as easily as they gave away her place.
