A mind-reading wife escapes her mafia husband after he imprisons her in a subzero cellar, killing their unborn baby.
Lilian spent six years decoding Marcello's silent devotion through the thoughts he never spoke, enduring his verbal cruelty because she alone knew the love beneath it. His paranoia curdled into a lethal test when his assistant fabricated evidence against her. Marcello himself confined his pregnant wife in a freezing cellar, an act that forced the miscarriage of the miracle child they had yearned for. Lilian left signed divorce papers and vanished to London without a trace. Marcello later found the blood-stained cellar, confronting the physical proof of what his jealousy had destroyed.
