Disclosure: certain links are commissioned.
A surgeon is attacked by suitors chosen by her father, then proves her heiress status and destroys them.
Chief surgeon Ava Carter returns from São Paulo expecting her father Edward, but three Langston brothers intercept her with orders to select a husband. Derek and Ethan ambush her at the school gate, smash her mother's pocket watch, stomp her right hand, and beat Professor Charles unconscious when he intervenes. Pierce arrives later, disbelieves her claims of being the Carter heiress, chokes her, and re-breaks the injured hand. The brothers follow her to the hospital to continue the humiliation. Her assistant Arthur presents the family power ring, yet they accuse him of collusion. Using intelligence from Charles, Ava uncovers the brothers' hospital profiteering. At a banquet she reveals her identity; Edward appears and confirms it, forcing the brothers to kneel. Ava exposes their crimes, leading to their arrest. Their father Marcus attacks her and is jailed for attempted murder. Ava's hand heals, she takes over the Carter Group, and she and Charles become a couple.
