Ethan returns five years earlier to save his neglected daughter Emily from a family that favors his stepdaughter Chloe.
Ethan expires alone in a hospital after wife Vanessa and stepdaughter Chloe drain his finances, while his biological daughter Emily silently pays every expense. Overwhelmed by remorse, he awakens five years prior with all memories intact. His immediate action diverts a pivotal gift meant for Chloe so that it reaches Emily instead. Despite this change, the household continues to treat Chloe as royalty and dismiss Emily as invisible. Before Ethan can bridge the distance to his daughter, she suffers public humiliation at the hands of those who usurped her rightful place.
