A wife survives a crash with her brother-in-law after her husband leaves her for their neighbor.
Natalie agrees to an island trip hoping to repair her marriage to Karl, but he insists their neighbor Camilla accompany them. When their helicopter goes down in remote wilderness, Karl deserts the injured Natalie to reach Camilla. Blake, Karl's older brother and a retired pilot, refuses to abandon her and uses his expertise to keep them alive. During their struggle, Blake's steady competence and quiet care reveal a dependable side Natalie never knew, forging a deep bond between them. The arrival of rescuers brings Karl back into the picture, forcing Natalie to weigh the broken marriage against the connection that sustained her through the ordeal.
